Mild steel square tube box section is a robust metal product, though it’s vulnerable to rust over time. Consider galvanised or stainless steel if rust resistance is crucial. Mild steel, being a low-carbon steel, doesn’t possess the strength or hardness of its high-carbon or alloy steel counterparts. This can result in a reduced lifespan of the component or potential failures in high-speed environments. Moreover, the shape of a square hollow tube might not be aerodynamically efficient in scenarios where this is a concern, such as in vehicles or turbines.
