The #40 mesh coarse pure brass woven wire mesh (0.22mm wire, 0.42mm aperture) is a durable and flexible material ideal for various industrial and commercial applications. Composed of 65% copper and 35% zinc, this pure brass mesh is recognised for its yellow-gold appearance, which will develop a natural verdigris patina over time. The softness of brass allows for easy cutting and shaping, while also offering excellent corrosion resistance.
With a mesh count of 40 holes per linear inch and 1,600 holes per square inch, this coarse mesh is suitable for applications that require strength and an intermediate aperture size. The 0.42mm hole size provides a balance between openness and structural integrity, making this mesh ideal for filtration, sieving, and screening tasks. The 43% open area allows for good airflow and visibility, making it versatile enough for both functional and decorative uses.
