#250 stainless steel mesh with 0.062mm aperture and 0.04mm wire in a twill weave. With 37% open area, it’s ideal for ultra-fine filtration, sieving, and critical airflow. Corrosion-resistant and flexible, this high-precision mesh is perfect for labs, cleanrooms, and sensitive industrial processes.
Our #250 woven wire mesh, made from high-quality 304-grade stainless steel in a twill weave pattern, features an incredibly fine 0.062mm aperture and a 0.04mm wire diameter, offering a sophisticated solution for ultra-precise filtration and screening. With a 37% open area, this mesh enables controlled air or fluid flow while effectively capturing extremely fine particles. Its dense weave and silky, cloth-like finish make it a top choice for critical applications in laboratories, chemical processing, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and advanced electronic filtration.
The twill weave construction offers several advantages over plain weave at this mesh count. It allows a greater wire diameter than plain weave at the same aperture, improving the mesh’s mechanical strength while maintaining fine filtration capability. The twill pattern also creates a more flexible material with better drape, making it easier to work into tightly spaced equipment or complex filtration systems.
Thanks to the 304 stainless steel composition, this mesh is naturally corrosion-resistant, heat-resistant, and easy to sterilise, making it suitable for repeated use in demanding environments. It is commonly used in vacuum filters, ultra-fine sieves, analytical equipment, and critical airflow systems, where accuracy and durability are both required.
Despite its refined appearance, this mesh is remarkably strong and durable for its weight and weave. It can be cut and shaped with care and integrated into multilayer filtration units, sensor housings, or fine liquid or gas separation devices. It is also used in applications such as ink or slurry screening, protective shielding for precision instruments, and cleanroom ventilation filters.
Wire mesh materials are also available in brass, copper, galvanised steel and blue PVC.
