#160 stainless steel woven mesh with 0.129mm aperture and 0.03mm wire. Lightweight and ultra-fine with 61% open area, it’s ideal for high-precision filtration, sieving, and screening. Corrosion-resistant and flexible, this mesh suits scientific, industrial, and cleanroom applications requiring fine particle control.
Our #80 woven wire mesh, crafted from 304-grade stainless steel, is a high-precision fine mesh designed for detailed filtration, screening, and protective tasks across industrial and technical environments. With a 0.178mm aperture and a 0.14mm wire diameter, it delivers accurate particle retention while allowing controlled airflow or liquid passage. The 31% open area gives a good balance between filtration efficiency and throughput, making this mesh ideal for use in laboratory sieves, air and liquid filters, protective screens, and analytical devices.
Despite its fine structure, the mesh maintains excellent dimensional stability and tensile strength, weighing just 0.78 kg per square metre. The tightly woven pattern ensures uniform performance, making it suitable for applications where consistent aperture size and cleanliness are crucial. The 304 stainless steel construction offers high resistance to corrosion, heat, and wear, allowing the mesh to perform reliably in environments exposed to moisture, chemicals, or high temperatures.
This mesh is widely used in chemical processing, food production, pharmaceutical manufacturing, water filtration, and electronic shielding. It’s also popular in technical crafts and precision engineering, where its smooth, cloth-like texture and consistent weave can be easily shaped, folded, or layered. Its surface can be cleaned and sterilised, which makes it particularly well-suited to sensitive or hygienic environments.
Easy to cut and work with, this #80 mesh can be fitted into frames, filtration assemblies, screening panels, and protective layers. It provides a secure barrier against fine particles without significantly restricting flow, making it a highly efficient and dependable choice for high-precision applications.
Wire mesh materials are also available in brass, copper, galvanised steel and blue PVC.
