This fine pure brass woven wire mesh (#100 mesh, 0.1mm wire, 0.154mm aperture) is lightweight, precise, and ideal for fine filtration and delicate applications.
The coarse pure brass woven wire mesh (16 LPI x 0.375mm wire = 1.21mm aperture) is a versatile and functional material, offering excellent durability and practicality for a variety of applications. This mesh is made of pure brass, a combination of 65% copper and 35% zinc, giving it a distinctive yellow-gold appearance that naturally develops a verdigris patina over time. This characteristic can enhance its appeal in projects where an aged, rustic look is desired.
The mesh features an aperture size of 1.21mm with a wire diameter of 0.375mm, providing a balance between strength and openness. Its 58% open area makes it ideal for applications requiring high airflow or visibility, such as in filtration systems, sieving, or as decorative elements in architectural projects. The mesh’s 16 holes per linear inch (16 LPI) give it a coarse structure, making it suitable for industrial use, protection screens, or where larger particles need to be filtered.
As a plain weave product, each warp wire crosses over and under each weft wire in a simple and effective pattern. This common weaving technique is popular for most commercial applications due to its strength and uniformity. The plain weave construction ensures that the mesh maintains its form while offering easy manipulation for cutting and forming, a characteristic of the soft brass material.
The mesh weighs 1.125 kg per square meter, making it sturdy but not too heavy, ideal for projects that require durable, corrosion-resistant material without excessive weight.
