Carbon steel music
wire is manufactured to the following specifications :-
BS 5216 M4 grade,
DIN 17223 part 1, NF A47-301 and ASTM A227
Composition - carbon
0.7 to 1.0%, manganese 0.25 to 0.75%, silicon 0.35%, phosphous
and sulphur 0.03% minimum.
Piano Wire or Spring
Wire is available in 1.0 metre, 500 mm, 300 mm straightened lengths or 5kg coils.
Please note 24swg is
supplied in 36 inch lengths.
